International equivalents are approximate; a dash means none is listed. Sizing systems vary by country and retailer — check your ring’s sizing system rather than choosing by nationality.
The paper strip method.
Four quick steps for a starting point, using a strip of paper and a real millimeter ruler.
- Step 1 of 4

Cut a narrow paper strip
Use a straight, even strip. Keep it flat and untwisted.
- Step 2 of 4

Wrap it gently
Wrap once around the base of the intended finger. Keep it snug without pressing into the skin.
- Step 3 of 4

Mark where the ends meet
Mark the strip exactly where its starting edge meets the overlapping end.
- Step 4 of 4

Measure start to mark
Lay the strip flat against a millimeter ruler, starting at zero. Enter that number in the size finder under “Inside mm”.
Swipe for all four steps
Illustrations only — not to scale. This method doesn’t check knuckle clearance or final ring fit.

Keep it natural
Measure when your hands feel normal, rather than unusually cold, hot or swollen.
Check again
Finger size can change during the day. Compare measurements at different times.
Mind the knuckle
Your ring should pass the knuckle with gentle resistance and sit comfortably at the base.
Consider the band
Wide bands can feel tighter. Try a sizer with a similar width instead of automatically going up half a size.
A few common questions.
Try both sizes using a physical ring sizer, ideally with a similar band width. Choose with knuckle clearance and comfort in mind. Still unsure? Contact us before ordering — there isn’t one size-up rule for every ring.
If possible, have a jeweler measure a ring your recipient already wears comfortably on the intended finger and hand. Avoid guessing from appearance or an average ring size.
Not necessarily. Measure the exact finger and hand where the new ring will be worn. A size that fits one finger may not fit another.
Only for a rough estimate. Tension, placement and material change the result, and a strip doesn’t replicate the fit of a rigid ring. Confirm with a jeweler or a physical ring sizer before ordering.
